Shearwater Lake

Shearwater Lake

The Sunday Constitutional is a walk and is always accompanied by a photograph or two.

Shearwater Lake is a man-made freshwater lake on the Longleat Estate. It is popular with local anglers and for sailing and provides an excellent location for a variety of walks.

The roiling clouds above the far end of the lake provide a fitting backdrop to the expanse of water.

Went to Lyme Regis yesterday. It's changed since last visited, the sea defences provide an excellent viewing platform of the Jurassic Coast. 114 steps drop you down from the main car park to greet you with the above view.

A Cloudy Cow Down

A Cloudy Cow Down I

I love this place. It's my peaceful home from home. There is a lot of history associated with it; an Iron Age settlement, extensively excavated between 1956 and 1960. The findings weren't published until 52 years later.

Every time I visit, it feels different, this day showed an abundance of clouds that seemed to brood over its head.
